Selenicereus macdonaldiae has light green skin and small spines on the little number of areoles on its stems. The areoles are distant apart from each other, the plant looks like its stems are completely spineless.
It is a vigorously growing plant that is suitable for a hanging pot as long as it is continuously trimmed to maintain size and shape. Given support, it is a vigorous climber.
Selenicereus macdonaldiae likes to be watered regularly in the summer and it needs a well drained soil mix. The soil we use contains compost, bark and sand.
