Hildewintera aureispina is a South American cactus that likes partial shade to full sun. It has very attractive golden spines, hence the nickname Golden Rat tail. The plant grows fast and offsets readily. It is a great choice for a large hanging pot. It flowers abuntantly and the flowers are salmon pink, 4-6 cm across.
