The aroma of the large white nocturnal flowers of the Epiphyllum oxypetalum, especially when they are in great numbers, can be intoxicating. The plant itself becomes quite a large bush or even climber. It looks much better in the shade and it thrives with frequent watering and fertilizing in the summer.
