This is probably our favorite Coryphantha. It is an easy to grow plant which flowers and offsets readily. It has an attractive shiny, deep green globular body. The flowers are pink, 6-7 cm across and they grow from the top of the plant. The name Coryphantha comes from the greek words coryphi (top) and anthos (flower).
The plant grows a thick tap root so it needs a deep pot to grow well. Even though in most literature it is stated that this plant should be water sparingly, we tend to disagree and, from our experience growing this plant for over 20 years, it likes to be watered often, as long as there is good drainage.
The plants for sale are 5-6cm in diameter.
